You've got a choice of 3 membership plans: Basic, Smart and Plus. All have a £15 application fee that is returned in driving credit once approved. The Basic plan has no monthly cost but has the most expensive driving rates. Smart is £6 /month and Plus is £15 /month, but the monthly fee is credited to your account in driving credit each month! The cost of renting a Zipcar varies depending on the plan you're on, the day you're driving and the vehicle you choose. Vehicle rates start from £6.00/hour for Roundtrip and from £14/hour for Flex. Apply online, all you need is your driving license and payment card. Once you've applied you should receive a decision within 3 days. If approved you are good to go. Use the app to find vehicles near you. Use Roundtrip to hire by the hour or day. Use Zipcar Flex for short one-way trips across town. When you’re done, return your Roundtrip vehicle to the same bay you got it from. For Flex, make sure you end your trip on the Flex zone.

If you’re in London, then yes! We have thousands of cars and vans across the city, as well as at Heathrow and Gatwick too. Members will be able to get an on-demand car hire to go wherever you want for whatever you need, including vans for moving house or picking up large items.

Fuel's on us! Just use the fuel card in the car when you need to pay at any petrol station. The fuel type of the vehicle you are in should be clearly labelled on the vehicle, and in the app. Every car should have at least ¼ tank to start with (please bring yours back that way, too.) Our Electric Vehicles are charged overnight by our team, so they’re good to go whenever you are, just make sure you have enough range to get to your destination. But if you would like to charge one, you can benefit from our Charging incentive (and get credit back too!).
